The New Moon in November, occurs on 29th at approximately 12:18 in Sagittarius. (Full Moon in Gemini 14th December.)
What are the implications of this New Moon in Sagittarius? Way different in energy from Scorpio and the hidden revelations emerging from the deep last month, we face a search for personal, global and universal wisdom and truth in this coming month as we enter the Sagittarian lunar landscape.
Our intentions for the New Moon call for contemplation before the new energy kicks in. The coming month will demand honesty, integrity, willingness to accept reality and openness to a higher wisdom. We perhaps imagined we knew everything about who we are and what we believe. There’s been a major shift in energy. Have the events and the emerging truth around us affected our belief systems and, potentially, the way that we live our lives? Are they still relevant? How has our future and that of the planet been affected? We know the results of the election in the United States. We see the ripples made by the results of the Brexit referendum. Reality – it’s here!
Imagine the freedom of a wild, galloping horse – restless, fiery, wise, adventurous and purposeful. Sagittarius demands justice and expansion. Sagittarius creates a focus on education, knowledge and philosophical musings about the nature of life. We might hear new revelations about the universe and life on earth. We might feel an urge to get rid of our responsibilities and to be free, to kick against authority and old values and try something new! This Sagittarian Moon holds huge potential for change.
We are called on to get our lifestyles in tune and in balance with our deepest and most honest beliefs. No more time to ‘bury our heads in the sand’. Revealed truths have uncovered reality both outside us and within.
Here are some thoughts to contemplate:
As we contemplate about who we are and what we honestly believe in, Sagittarius wants us to ‘get to the truth’ and to tune in to higher wisdom and consciousness!
An exercise towards clarity:
(Keep your answers to yourself so you can be totally truthful!)
There’s sometimes a gap between the ‘myth’ and the reality. In the light of what we might learn about our truths, are there some improvements we can make in how we live? Can we maybe now fulfil unfulfilled potential?
With the involvement of Pluto, Neptune, Mars and Venus in the New Moon mix, we should be able to access the courage to manifest change (Mars trine Jupiter). Personal finances and values are likely to become a focus. There a universal yearning to leave behind the effects of wounds established in the past (Neptune conjunct Chiron) and to move towards an environment that is more spiritual and idealistic – no more time to indulge in emotional attachment to past events! What are your values and beliefs? What are your aims? Now! (Pluto conj Venus, square Jupiter and Uranus, NM square nodal axis)
IN A MUNDANE KIND OF WAY…….
As within, so without! It is as if we have become spattered with a heavy spray of illusion, confusion and uncertainty from outside us and it’s resonating inside. We might see reality all too clearly! Or perhaps many are still being swathed in foggy delusion and can’t see a way out. Wait! The fog will clear (Neptune direct 17th Nov) as long as we stand firmly within our intentions. Post election, in both the UK and USA, we are dealing with crisis and division of opinion and this is inevitably continuing to send shock waves throughout the world within the coming month and beyond. Most of us feel battered and in varying degrees of shock, whatever our political opinions. We yearn for balance and certainty. Fairness, truth and justice have become major issues.
This New Moon in Sagittarius – and the aspects of the moment surrounding it – could represent a wonderful opportunity for a new start. Few things have been left hidden and there’s focus on out dated and unfair financial and power structures (Pluto conjunct Venus in Cap). There is a lack of respect evident towards certain groups of people and, as a consequence, the obvious need to examine what we should value in order to work towards fairness and balance.
Everything that happens in this coming month, it seems, is historically significant and pivotal (New Moon in T square with the nodal axis). It’s easy to feel daunted by the possibilities ahead. However, we need to remember that Sagittarius and its ruler, Jupiter, also represent the energy of optimism, expansion, positivity and joy. Jupiter (in Libra) urges us towards greater balance, harmony. Mars (sextile NM and trine Jupiter) brings energy to that positivity.
Maybe rebellion and social revolution are important to how the world progresses. 🙂 Maybe not. Both sides of divided political opinion seem to be doing both! (Uranus opposite Jupiter), Hopefully new ideas hold the key to making positive changes. Like a friendly school teacher standing alongside, Saturn (conjunct New Moon) is trying to help with practical good sense and sensible suggestions about possible new structures and ways to replace dogma (‘my truth is better than your truth’) with sound philosophical values! We yearn for ‘something better’. Some of us yearn for a world with more spiritual – as opposed to religious – values! Some want to impose their dogma on others We are working towards abundance and justice in a world where (whatever our beliefs) there seems to be a lack of both. We search for calm and bliss within chaos (Neptune stationary/direct). Hopefully, this Sagittarius New Moon will prove to be the ‘kick start’ we need to fire humanity’s determination to ‘do better’ in the future.
The world needs all of our love and positivity.
(One way of helping us focus on matters connected with these issues in our personal lives is to be aware of which house this New Moon falls. If you don’t know within which house it is, ask an astrologer!)
